Bloom 2010
62 artists have contributed to "Bloom" by creating one small individual artwork each. They were provided with a small, wooden panel with a prepainted background colour and given a theme to paint to. The theme this year was New Beginnings and Growth - and interpretation of this is entirely up to the artists.
When all of these individual artworks are combined they create an overall image and a stunning one of a kind artwork measuring 1.3m x 1.3m. The overall image of the collaborative artwork is kept secret, even from those participating in it, until the unveiling of the artwork just prior to the opening night of the NZ Art Guild annual exhibition "Emerge"
This artwork will be auctioned Trademe from July 17th with 100% of the proceeds donated to the Mental Health Foundation of NZ.

Some of New Zealand’s best-known and most-loved artists have donated original, signed pieces of art to support courageous children and their families battling cancer.
100% of the proceeds will go to the Child Cancer Foundation. The Child Cancer Foundation receives no Government funding.
Donated artworks come from all around New Zealand and include works from NZ Art Guild Members Amy Mackiewicz, Cath Sheard, Chavah Kinloch, Julia Dungan. Melissa Muirhead and Sophia Elise.
